Disneyland! W00T!

Hey [info]sugardiva! We are in Anaheim now. We have drunk most of the bottle of pomegranate vodka. Plus we talked [info]firesika into drunk e-mailing Christian.
[info]mspurplepearl gave us all a quick class in how to make penises out of sparkly pipe cleaners. I'm really surprised that no one complained about the amount of noise we were making at midnight.

We also got two (count 'em two!) upgrades on the rental car, because we needed an out of state car and options were limited. Our choices were a boring black ginormous Chrysler sedan or a red Charger. We went with the sedan, because we needed the trunk space.

People who also read [info]mspurplepearl's journal will be amazed and proud to know that she managed to fit everything (even the communal stuff) in her carry on bags. Go pearl!

So on the last day of Norwescon I was bit by a tiny attack poodle. I didn't realize it had broken the skin until we got back to the room, so I didn't confront the owner right afterwards. Pearl and Sika convinced me to report it to con security and the hotel, which I did. I gave the hotel the guy's name and they couldn't get a hold of him then.
Shorty after I got home, I was contacted by a lady who manages these things for the hotel's insurance company. I told her everything was fine, but I wanted the immunization records of the dog, in case I got an infection or something. Also, a way to contact him, because while a mutual acquaintance had given me the owner's name, I didn't have a phone number or anything. She just called back and said that she had been cleared to give me his e-mail address.

So here's my dilemma. I'm leaving tomorrow for three weeks, and will have sporadic e-mail access. The bite healed fine, there were no complications and I didn't have to go to the dr's office. I could e-mail him and nag for him to send me copies of his dog's immunization records, but I don't really think I need them anymore so other then the obvious concern that people with dogs who are not properly trained/restrained should really be responsible for what their dogs do, it doesn't seem like this is worth the effort.

I was very disappointed with this morning's Higglytown Heros. It looked for a minute like the hero would be the knitting shop owner, but no, it was a sheep shearer. So sad. Plus then the scarf they were making was half white and half green and blue striped. Not so cute.

I keep wanting to update, but then every time I try, my mind starts pinging around randomly. Somehow I doubt that a post consisting of "Sewing machine! Shiny! Ouch! My feet tingle!" Would be very interesting.

I absolutely adore my new sewing machine. I hadn't realized exactly how much I was out sewing the old one. I've been working on stuff that used to be really annoying, like machine quilting, and now it's not only easy, but fun. I have to rip out a huge amount of quilting because I forgot how much the backing fabric shrinks if you have a dense pattern, and I'm STILL enjoying the project. Amazing.
