My to do list for today

1) Buy a small mouse
2) Rub hot dog on the mouse
3) Laugh hysterically
4) Feed Sadie

Posting maniac

The vet assistants where I've been taking Sadie keep referring to her as a him. I know it shouldn't bother me, especially since it doesn't bug when when people do it to babies (Because really, it's hard to tell.) But it really bugs me here, especially when they say things like ths (exact quote follows) "So Sadie doesn't need to come back for more antibiotics, but we will call in a week and find out how he is doing, and that may change then." I feel like next time I go, I should glue a little pink bow to her head, or possibly change her name to Princess Sadie, Girl Adventurer, and see if they notice.
I think it's because I don't get the feeling that they pay much attention to what I'm asking. Let's not even get into how pissed I was at them on Friday when I had to call twice and got two calls back on the second call with conflicting reports.

Today is a big day

Due to the consistent nagging of a few of Walker's friends, I listed a plushy Ithaqua for sale on my Etsy store today.

Wish him luck. It's too warm here for him and he wants to go someplace colder.

Now I need to make a little trading card for him.

Ooooh... shiny

I found StyleFeeder yesterday, and I've been having way too much fun with it. My poor sister was visiting and she had to drag me off the computer. Of course, then she got online to check her e-mail, but we did eventually go play a game together.

True Neutral

I joined a quilt block swap recommended by [info]jennicakes. This is my second month in, and my current partner has a color palette of neutral.
It turns out that I am really bad at neutral. I keep trying to arrange fabric and color creeps in. The first block I'm working on is a print I'm embroidering over to tone the colors down, but I'm stuck on the second. I now have two possible choices in my head. The first is this block,
. I've got muslin and a neutral marbled fabric for the star. But Walker suggested that I could applique Switzerland on a block. Because nothing is more neutral then Switzerland. I even found a map that is done in neutral tones, here!
That appeals to me, but I worry that it may be too weird. What do you think?

[info]estrellada and [info]elfflame asked for info on how Spamalot! was.
It was silly. Really, what else did you expect? Extremely silly. The songs that were written for the musical were cute. Tim Curry was good. It's obvious that the part was written for him, since he kept walking off stage during the big musical numbers. Poor pudgy Tim.
But, [info]elfflame You don't ever want to see it.
The Lady of the Lake turns out to be Guinevere. When I realized where they were going, I had to strangle a scream. I did so partially unsuccessfully.

Walker and I have tickets to see a preview showing of Spamalot! tomorrow. What makes it even more exciting is that Tim Curry is playing King Arthur. His first time on the stage in London since Rocky Horror, according to the signs.
*happy dance*
It would have been worthwhile to try to see more shows while we are here. Avenue Q is playing, for instance. But there are some scary things. Not only is the musical version of Dirty Dancing playing, but Patrick Swayze is the lead in Guys And Dolls.

I love the British Isles

I was told but a couple of people who knew I was coming over here that I should go bra shopping because they would have my sizes. I am happy to report that this is true. I am now the proud owner of five new bras, including one with a matching pair of panties, one sports bra and one t-shirt bra.
*happy dance*

For goodness sake

There is a ride based on the horrors of medieval London. I kid you not. I'm more amused by the concept of the Hamburg Dungeons, by the same company. Too bad tickets are $40 per adult or we might consider it for sheer cheesiness factor.
I put pictures from Ireland here. I ran out of space for this month though so all the pictures of the cat at Newgrange are not up.
