Mamatography Week 4

17. Ready
My new car is finally ready! Well sort of. There are supposed to be special seats in the way back that are not available yet. And when we showed up to get it, they were updating the firmware and not finished charging it. You know, if you decide to ramp up delivery of your product, you should maybe make sure you are ready to ramp up actual delivery, not just accept payments. Not that I'm complaining about my new car, or anything.

19. Delicious
PCC gives free fruit to all kids who visit their grocery store. You know, instead of a cookie from the deli. Until Davis was old enough to get one, Moira picked anything but a banana. Once she picked a grapefruit. But since banana is the easiest thing to feed the baby in grocery cart, she must have a banana. One time at Whole Foods there was only one banana left in their kids club selection, and it was the end of the world. Good times. Davis is getting bored of bananas now, so we may be moving on to grapes or something soon.

20. Something You Saw
Cleaning and reorganizing the playroom and kids bedroom has been on my to-do list for awhile. When the kids started playing on the slats on the bottom bunk (because that mattress is in our room for Davis) I knew it had to happen soon. I took the slats out and turned it into a little reading/snuggle nook, with all the stuffed animals and Davis' bean bag. We have some lights we need to hang, and then it will be perfect.

21. What You Do
Snuggle this kid, all day. Well, sometimes I snuggle the other one. There may be a few other activities in the day too...

22. Corner
I had grander plans for this picture, but they didn't pan out. Here is our new little play kitchen corner. The highchair is in a bad spot though because Davis can climb up it and grab at the pens.

23. Electric
The weirdest outlet in our house. In the downstairs bath, directly over the sink on a mirrored wall.

  1. I wish our grocery story gave out fruit instead of cookies! Your photos are great, I am hoping this challenge improves mine. I really like the idea of making the bottom of the bunk bed a reading nook :)

  2. That top pic looks like a graphic (rather than a photo). If it weren't for the... steering wheel?

    The fruit thing is awesome!

Cool looking bunk bed and that is a clever use of the bottom space. We used to have a top bunk only that came with furniture under it. It had a desk and a bookshelf, I think. I'm still itching to convert our Pack 'n Play, but I can't decide whether I want to use it as Sasha's bed (she really does best with borders around her sleeping area) or even Spencer's bed next to ours. It could make for a great sidecar, right?

Outlets always seem strange when they're ON a mirror. Bizarre. We have outlets under the snackbar, above the kitchen counter... if that makes sense. This place has an outlet EVERY 4 feet... except on the landing upstairs... where I'd actually LIKE to have one, for a night light. :P

  4. Very clever use of the bottom space on the bunk bed set up!

LOL at the highchair being a climbing place. Kids will climb ANYTHING won't they!?
