If you give a baby mochi...

What is this?
He's going to want to suck out the red bean paste.
Messy hands
And squish it.
My mochi, you can't have it
And save some for later.

True fact, wet mochi feels eerily similar to skin when inside a mouth. I spent an hour googling the symptom of "swollen baby palate" and other variations, before deciding it was most likely thrush, giving him some coconut oil, and calling our doctor for a morning appointment. Then the mochi fell off.

Davis is really working hard to get his legs involved in the crawling. Yesterday, in amongst all the circling around looking for electrical cords he, fell off the bed, sat up and hit his head on the coffee table, and pulled the radio off the dresser in Moira's room. All of these cause a complaining squak, but he stopped crying as soon as he was picked up. I love when babies have the ability to get over minor hurts, right at the same time they start having a lot of them. He had his first vaccine at his last appointment, and literally laughed when the needle went in.
