101 things in 1001 days

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

  1. Hello Shannon! I'm following this in my google reader.

I love this idea! It inspires me to start my own.

Under your cooking column, if you need ideas I have many many many vegetarian cookbooks, including a vegetarian crock-pot cookbook if you need some inspiration. And if you want it I can give you a recipe for Bosnian bread which requires no kneading and is chewy and lovely.

    And umm, for #82...Naturacare.

  2. I actually want to find a solution for #82 that is washable and reusable. I'm getting really extra super crunchy lately. I had a mini freak out the other day thinking about all the beads that get thrown away at Mardis Gras.
I may take you up on the cookbook loans. I am planning on taking a look through ye old internet first and seeing what I can see.

  3. Oh even better! I have a zine that discusses the various options and has a pattern for sewing your own pads. I could send it to you as a loaner.
