Walker and I are happy to announce that we are expecting a gamer on May 22nd.
My favorite reaction so far is from my sister who said, "Congratulations! Wait, this is something we are happy about, right?"
The response I hadn't expected was people saying we were going to have to get rid of the snakes. According to the midwife, I shouldn't play with them, because they can carry salmonella, but that's not a change from normal life very much. Plus the poor snakies are all in the end stages of their lives, so it would seem mean to me to get rid of them, especially since there are no snake retirement homes. Worse comes to worst, we will buy locks for the cages so we don't have to explain to the toddler why they shouldn't put the snakes in their mouth.
