My computer has been crashing when I run graphics intensive programs ever since Walker upgraded it before we moved. He's been trying over the last couple of weeks to fix it, downloading debugging programs, installing a new OS, etc..
It's still crashing, but at least everytime it crashes it is a different problem.
The last fix he did somehow made all mydesktop icons dissapear. I'm finding it hard to remember what everything is based on it's name. Not that it shoudl be hard. It's really weird not to have icons though.

I finished my skirt last night. I am very pleased with it. Per Sika's instructions, :

I like going from conception to completion on a project in less then a week. I need to do that more often.

The internet has finally revealed Walker's biggest secret to me.

He is an Ant.

I've had a great idea for a skirt bouncing around inside my head for the last week, but I had been unable to find the right fabric in my stash. I was actually considering going out to buy fabric because I really want this skirt.
However, I just found fabric I bought years ago for a completely different skirt. There is enough.
*happy dance*
I need to learn to *read* things, not just skim them.

Walker is currently trying to teach Stewie to play fetch, a game Stewie has never really understood. He's actually kind of getting into it right now because we finally got him to understand that if you bring the back, you get a *lot* of attention.
This time, he forgot and came back after sniffing the ball for the attention. So Walker threw the tug rope and Stewie chased that down the hall, picked up the ball and came back.
At least we know he has the general concept right. Kind of.

Snakey update

Our cage is 13" by 30.5"
The standard cage size available now that is closest is 12" by 30"
*cries*
Tomorrow I go find a pane of glass to fit the current broken lid. Oooh, maybe the hardware store will sell me plexiglass, that would be even better.
In other news: The dentist only numbed half my mouth, and he injected me 5 times to do it. That seems a bit like overkill, but then, it's been a long time since I got any novacain. I think I was 12. This half numb thing is no fun. And I get to do it all again on Friday. Wheee.

I am the worst snake mom ever

The last time it was feeding time for the snakes, the mice ganged up one of the mice before Walker got home to feed the snakes. That was much more upsetting to me then the mice getting eaten, what with the natural order of the food chain and all. I'm a big believer in there being nothing wrong with carnivores eating prey. However, the idea of vicious mice gangs upsets me.
So this time I decided to feed the snakes myself. I put on the ski gloves so the snakes couldn't bite me, don't worry Mom. But, just after I'd gotten the fist snake into her little feeder cage, the lid to the living cage fell down and shattered. Like, 20 pieces, one of which nicked Pestilence's side. I feel like the worst Mom ever now.
Feeding has been put on hold until a new lid for the living cage arrives, mice have beet greens and crackers in case they get hungry, and are willing to eat such things. I will try to pick one up after my dentist appointment at 2.
