I love this idea

From tonight's All Things Considered.

Even though it's an idea from the Religious Right. I've always wanted to just pick the channels I want because for heavens sack, I don't need 20 ESPN channels.

'Cable A La Carte' TV Picks Up Steam

With studies saying most U.S. households watch less than 20 of the sometimes hundreds of available channels, a movement is building for "cable a la carte." Some of its backers are those offended by cable channels they find bundled with channels they do want. Some observers say such a system would just wind up costing consumers more and cut down on content diversity.
