Help!

I seem to have developed a bad case of hypomyrtatia. Bring me pudding! It's the only thing that will help!

Not only do I love Dani because she bought me the cutest socks, but at least one of the pairs of toe socks fits my toes, the fabric is plush and stretchy and doesn't make the spaces between my toes hurt.
Also, thank you so much to [info]sugardivalish for the lovely cozy pajama pants. best early christmas present ever.

Yay!

Walker and I had a good trip.
We had dinner on Friday at Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles! I didn't actually have the chicken and waffles combination for which they are named, but Walker did.
Good chicken, and passable Grits.
Plus we ate at the location that both Pink and Emmanuel Lewis have patronized.
I think there need to be more chains of and waffles places. Tuna and Waffles, Gum and Waffles.... The mind reels at the possibilities.

Yay!

I had a stir-up day all on my own today. And now, I will have yummy pumpkin fruitcake for christmas.
And there were no candied fruits involved in any way.

Thoughts from the AFI concert

1) May I have the drummer from Autopilot Off for Christmas? I want to eat him. The bassist would be an fine substitution if the drummer is not available.
2) I do not like music where the lyrics are screamed, unless the lyrics are in German. German seems designed to be screamed.
3) My, that was short.

I do not like windstorms.
They are the only northwest natural disaster like thingy that freaks me out.
I am happy with snow, floods, earthquakes and lightning. Just not wind.
And I'm not sure why, and everyone else seems to like them, which leaves me with the feeling that I am wrong to feel like this, and I don't like this feeling.

I like Walker's CalTech friends.
I'm not sure if they are not used to gaming with women, but I kept winning because they would forget that I was a threat. This theory seems wrong as they are all married, not to mention the fact that they have female friends who game who are not part of the core group, but it's the only one I have right now.

So, this morning I had a nightmare that I was in a really great relationship for a few weeks and then the guy died.
We had met through mutual friends at a bachelor party similar to Todd's sister's bachelor party.
I end up at a boat contest with the couple who introduced us. My now dead boyfriend's boat is one of the entrants. The officiants call me down to his boat so that I can take his place which involves holding a stuffed bug, while wearing a specific shirt which makes something appear in a tub. This did not actually do anything to the boat, and I could stand next to my friends while I did it. I did this very well apparently and won.
I could have anything I wanted as a prize and I decided that I wanted to relieve those two weeks before he died so that I could spend every minute with him. I kept having to restart though because something would go wrong.

Life lessons for today:

Or, Shannon is spacey when she doesn't eat.

1) When setting the alarm clock, make sure you have AM and PM straight. Although in a pinch, have a nightmare set to wake you up when you are supposed to is a good back up plan.

2) When cooking chicken strips, it helps to put them into the oven.

Walker and I have achieved new levels of Geeky laziness now. He has a new laptop so now we can play Civ on that while we repetitvely check our e-mail on his computer and watch cable.
He pointed out that we also cook, so that makes it better.
I currently do not have enough complete pairs of socks to last a week. And half of them have holes in them. But my feet are cold and I need something.
Maybe I just need slippers instead.
